Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at Unity of Livonia

We offer a wonderful, positive experience for youth and teens of all ages. Our youth ministry programs provide a comprehensive, experiential spiritual discovery that focuses on the unlimited potential and inherent divinity in each person. Youth Ministry is offered during our 10:00 am Sunday service.

Positive, life enriching Bible-based lessons and other spiritually affirming activities are presented through story, music, drama and adult service participation. All youth programs are age-appropriate. Our youth and teens are also included in several intergenerational services throughout the year.

Five Basic Unity Principles - The Youth Version

  • God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
  • I am naturally good, because God’s Divinity is in me and in everyone.
  • I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
  • Through affirming prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
  • I do and give my best by living Truth. I know I make a difference.

YOUTH & TEEN MINISTRY PROGRAM (infant - 18 years)

The 2019 Unity curriculum for both youth and teens is centered around the metaphysical "Teachings of Jesus."  This curriculum provides stories, experiences and activities from a metaphysical perspective that demonstrate Jesus' relationship with God.  These lessons are meant to assist our preschool, youth and teens in the growth and development of their own awareness of God's presence within them.  Our Youth program meets coincident with the Adult service at 10:00 - 11:00 Sunday mornings.

Unity of Livonia youth and teens will hold their third annual Community Food Drive Sunday, March 10th through Sunday, April 14th to help St. Christine Christian Services put an end to hunger.  Both monetary and non-perishable items of canned and dry goods will be accepted at Unity of Livonia, 28660 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48154 (east of Middlebelt Road).  100% of the collections will be donated directly to St. Christine Food Pantry, a local non-profit organization that works in conjunction with St. Vincent DePaul to serve and distribute over 22,000 hot meals and 6,000 bags of supplementary groceries throughout the year to one of Southeastern Michigan’s most vulnerable and homeless communities.

The food drive raises awareness among the youth and teens of the hunger and nutrition challenges within our local communities.  A specific list of items needed is available online or by calling Unity of Livonia, (734) 421-1760.  Also see below.

Monetary donations may be made by cash, check or charge.  Please make checks payable to: Unity of Livonia and specify “Food Drive” on the notation line.  Food goods may be dropped off Mon & Tues (10AM – 5PM), Wed (10AM – 8PM), and Sun (9:30AM – 12).  For more information, visit or Email
